Throughout the process of learning how to make games, I have developed many ideas for potential games to make. I always wanted to become an indie game developer and these are my favorite indie games.

Celeste
As someone who has dealt with anxiety and depression, this game really spoke to me. The game may be simple as it follows Madeline who tries to climb the titular Celeste Mountain. This game is fun and challenging with the gameplay, it gets more challenging as it goes on, but what makes it one of my all-time favorite games is the themes, especially with how the game tackles anxiety, self-doubt, and depression and it really inspired me to become a game developer. Thanks to the game's developer Maddy Thorson for this amazing game.

Undertale
This is another video game that inspired me to get into game development. Undertale is a very different kind of role-playing than games like EarthBound or Chrono Trigger. Rather than fighting off enemies, players can choose to befriend the creatures of the Underground, and depending on the player's choices, the player can become a hero or the villain of this story. The story is what also pushed me into wanting to become a writer. Undertale and Toby Fox deserve their success.

Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is a game that surprised me when I found that one person, Eric Barone, did the entire game. From designer to programmer and music, he truly deserves the success that Stardew Valley, and I really love this game. The game is simply like a farming simulator similar to Harvest Moon, but it is so much more with its relaxing tone and the characters and gameplay. I love the game for these reasons.
